Families of 21 seriously ill children fear they will never see them again due to UK visa delays
The families of 21 seriously ill Ukrainian children, who were airlifted to the UK amid much government fanfare, fear they may never see them again due to delays in visa processing.
The children flown to the UK have cancer and some are receiving end-of-life care. For others the prognosis is more encouraging. Of the 21 families brought here 18 are one mother and one child. Many of the families arebeing accommodated in hotels, which are difficult places to live in when parents are spending long periods by their children’s hospital bedsides.
